Selling Information

We accept Boys and Girls Clothing Size 0-18
And Junior Clothing (see guidelines for Junior Clothing)
You must bring a minimum of 25 hanging items to be a seller.
The MAXIMUM is approximately 500 hanging items due to rack space.
Contact us if you have more; we can often make an exception.
We will accept toys, books, videos, strollers, high chairs, walkers, bedding, infant items, etc.
As in the past, we will be extremely careful at check-in to only accept clothing that is in great condition or that we feel will most likely sell. We would like to ask you to please keep your prices fair, pricing items between garage sale and consignment sale prices. We reserve the right to decline clothing based on pricing. Our policy is that all items must be in excellent condition with no stains, no holes, no broken zippers, etc. Please do not bring items with formula stains, excessively worn or faded clothing or clothing that smells smoky or musty.

PLEASE MAKE SURE TO BRING SPRING AND SUMMER CLOTHING ONLY!
Please take time to iron clothing that is extremely wrinkled.

The only car seats that we will accept are the ones that are attached to strollers.
Please check the expiration date on car and infant seats that
are attached to strollers;
we will not take expired car seats under any circumstance.
BAGGIES OF TOYS, INFANT ITEMS SUCH AS SOCKS, ONSIES, BIBS, ETC. WILL BE ACCEPTED BUT WHAT IS NOT SOLD WILL NOT BE SORTED AND WILL BE GIVEN TO CHARITY AT THE END OF THE SALE. YOU ARE FREE TO SORT THROUGH THESE SMALL BAGGIES TO CLAIM YOUR OWN PERSONAL ITEMS WHEN YOU PICK UP.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT STUFFED ANIMALS.
WE WILL ACCEPT SHOES IN PERFECT / LIKE NEW CONDITION ONLY. ALL SHOES NOT SOLD AT THE END OF THE SALE WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE DONATED TO CHARITY. HOWEVER, YOU ARE FREE TO SORT THROUGH THE SHOES TO CLAIM THE ONES YOU BROUGHT WHEN YOU PICK UP.
SEE THE JUNIOR SECTION FOR JUNIOR CLOTHING GUIDELINES.
WE WILL NOT BE TAKING ANY JEANS OR PANTS FOR JUNIORS. THEY TAKE UP TOO MUCH RACK SPACE AND DO NOT SELL WELL. WE WILL ONLY TAKE JEANS AND SUMMER PANTS INFANT UP TO SIZE 16/18.

PLEASE DO NOT BRING FALL AND WINTER CLOTHING TO THIS SALE.
NO VELVET, HEAVY SWEATERS, FLANNEL, CHRISTMAS WEAR, OR ANY ITEMS THAT ARE CLEARLY WINTER. THE REASON IS BECAUSE OF LIMITED RACK SPACE.

500 ITEM LIMIT ON CLOTHING YOU CAN BRING UNLESS YOU DISCUSS WITH US.
PLEASE KEEP YOUR PRICES FAIR; BETWEEN GARAGE SALE AND CONSIGNMENT SALE PRICES.  IF YOUR ITEMS ARE PRICED TOO HIGH THEY WILL NOT SELL!

 NO LONG PANTS IN JUNIORS!
LONG PANTS IN JUNIORS WILL BE REMOVED FROM
THE SALE DUE TO RACK SPACE.

We are so thankful for our sale location at Valley View Community Center in Sugarcreek! We consider it a blessing and hope that all of you are happy with the extra shopping room and ample parking. The women's ministry of the church also provide a wonderful concession stand during several of the busier sale times so come hungry and ready to shop!

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: PLEASE REMEMBER TO PICK UP YOUR UNSOLD ITEMS
ON SATURDAY FROM 1:00 - 3:00. THE CHARITY WILL BE THERE AFTER THAT TO PICK UP AND EVERYTHING WILL BE OUT OF ORDER FROM THAT POINT ON SO IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO COLLECT ALL OF YOUR UNSOLD ITEMS BEFORE THEN.

Tagging Instructions

TAGGING: PLEASE TAG ITEMS PROPERLY ACCORDING TO INSTRUCTIONS!  NO EXCEPTIONS!

Please review the photographs below to make sure your items are tagged properly!

Use ½ of an index card. DO NOT USE COPIER PAPER, STICKY NOTES, MASKING TAPE, ETC. TO MAKE YOUR TAGS.  IT MUST BE NOTECARDS / CARDSTOCK PAPER.
Tag all books, toys, etc. with ½ of an index card. Attach tag with tape. Whole cards may be used on larger equipment. Toys must work properly; all games taped shut, wood puzzles securely wrapped. For wooden puzzles, please cover with plastic wrap first then tape them so the puzzle pieces do not fall out and so the puzzles are not ruined by the sticky tape directly on the puzzle.

Books sell best when grouped together in gallon bags or as sets put together using string or twine.  Especially if it is a series.  It is also less time consuming for pricing and tagging.

Please use only one color of ink on your tags; no mark outs or changes. Please DO NOT bring toys, games or electronics that DO NOT WORK! It is unfair to the purchaser who trusts that everything is in working order. Do not bring DVD Videos and Video game CD's that are scratched and not in working order.  We are not responsible for lost or stolen video games and video DVD's.

PLEASE PRICE ITEMS IN 50 CENT INCREMENTS AND DO NOT USE THE DOLLAR SIGN ON YOUR TAGS AS IT OFTEN CAUSES CONFUSION WHEN DETERMINING THE PRICE. PLEASE DO NOT USE DOLLAR SIGNS!

Your tag should look like this:

1. Upper Left Hand Corner - star or asterisk if you want the item sold for half price on Saturday.  PLEASE CLIP THE CORNER IF YOU DO NOT WANT THE ITEM SOLD FOR HALF PRICE.

2. Upper right hand corner - Your seller number (this seller is # 413)

3. Middle of tag - Size and description

4. Lower Right Hand Corner - Price (only use 50 cent increments and no dollar sign please)

IF YOU DO NOT CLIP THE UPPER LEFT HAND CORNER TO DESIGNATE THAT YOU DO NOT WANT THE ITEM TO SELL FOR HALF PRICE, WE CANNOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SOMEONE (SADLY) MARKING YOUR TAG WITH A STAR.

PLEASE CLIP THE UPPER LEFT CORNER OF YOUR TAG IF YOU DON'T WANT THE ITEM TO SELL FOR HALF PRICE ON FRIDAY!!!

Thank you so much!  We appreciate all you do to make this sale great!

TEEN CLOTHING REQUIREMENTS!

CONCERNING TEEN CLOTHING:
We will only be taking:
SHORT AND LONG SLEEVE SUMMER TOPS.
SUMMER DRESSES AND SHORTS.

NO JUNIOR PANTS OR JEANS.
NO HEAVY SWEATERS / WINTER WEAR.

SORRY WE CAN NOT ACCEPT MORE THAN THOSE ITEMS.  WE HAVE LIMITED SPACE AND HAD TO ELIMATE SOME OF THE JUNIOR CLOTHING ACCEPTANCE.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not bring women and men’s style clothing to this sale. We do not have the space or manpower to handle that many clothing items. Only bring clothing that your teen (or what a teenager) would wear. Do NOT bring items that are outdated and out of current fashion. Again, the teen clothing must be labeled according to the categories listed above. Do not bring items with stains, especially in the armpit area. This has been a problem in the past with teen clothing. The same standards apply as the children’s clothing: no holes, missing buttons, broken zippers or faded, smoky, bleached out clothing.
WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ITEMS THAT APPEAR
TO BE MORE ADULT THAN TEEN CLOTHING.

DO NOT BRING ADULT CLOTHING THAT WILL ONLY BE GIVEN BACK TO YOU. AGAIN, WE MUST BE VERY SELECTIVE DUE TO THE LIMITED SPACE WE HAVE. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF THE CRITERIA WE MUST FOLLOW FOR TEEN CLOTHING. IT IS TRULY OUR HEART TO BE A BLESSING
TO EVERYONE CONCERNED.
After consideration of what clothes have sold the best at our children’s sales over the past 18 years, along with getting feedback from Plato’s Closet (a consignment store geared toward teens) we have determined that these are some of the most popular selling clothing lines for teens. While we will consider other labels as long as they are VERY CLEARLY Junior / Teen clothing, these are the top clothing lines that teenagers seem to be looking for at our sale and these labels are the majority (BUT NOT ALL) of what we take at check-in:

American Eagle
Abercrombie
Abercrombie and Fitch
Hollister
Ralph Lauren / Polo
Gap
Old Navy
Banana Republic
J Crew
Rue 21
Aeropostle
Juicy Couture
Levi
Forever 21
Nike / Reebok / Adidas / And One
Pac Sun
Arizona
Mudd
S. O. (and other Kohls teen clothing lines)
Due to the limited space we have and because of the extra work managing larger size clothing, the majority (but not all) of the teen clothing we will take must fall under the above categories.
THANKS FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING AS WE STIVE TO GROW THE SALE EACH YEAR IN ORDER TO BETTER SERVE YOU!
